    有一位基督教教育学者说:「基督教教育并非离开活的教会而存在的一套死的理论,它仍是来自一个活泼的信仰。」基督教教育与其它教育的分别,在于基督教教育让人认识神及祂对人类的旨意。儿童宗教教育就是帮助儿童将基督教丰富的信仰内容力行于每日的生活中,使儿童的属灵生命得以逐渐长大成熟。因而儿童宗教教育不仅是「教学」,更是要让儿童「实践」教育的内容目标。如果教师及父母要达到让儿童「实践」教育的目标,就要看重儿童宗教教育,多花时间功夫关心儿童的属灵生命,用爱和耐心教导他们明白圣经真理,引导他们成长。

    基督教教育需要教会与家庭共同合作,才能达到理想的成果。教师及父母都要尽本分,身教言教,有美好的见证,让儿童有美好的榜样,愿意过讨神喜悦的生活。此外,我们也要教导儿童敬畏神,因为敬畏神是智慧的开端(诗一一一10),也是儿童宗教教育的原则和真理。我们要引导儿童追求那永恒、不朽坏的基业,叫他们得着永恒的赏赐。(彼前一4)

    愿我们共同努力实践神所托付的使命,把孩子带到父神的面前,叫他们成为敬畏神的儿女,行在神的旨意中,一生也不偏离。
